Description

Les structures composites de panneaux sandwichs comprenant une Sme en nid-d'abeilles, par exemple en aluminium ou en papier de fibres de polyamide aromatique imprégné de résine phénolique, disposée entre deux faces parallèles, par exemple en tissus à fibres de verre imprégnés de résines époxydes ou phénoliques posent souvent le problème d'abouter deux panneaux sandwichs sans que la jonction ainsi établie risque de constituer une zone de moindre résistance,
Ltinvention a pour objet de résoudre le problème ci-dessus en proposant un procédé pour abouter deux panneaux sandwichs présentant une même section transversale,
Conformément à l'invention, les bords à abouter de deux panneaux sandwichs sont évidés entre les deux faces sur une certaine profondeur pour recevoir une fausse languette encollée qui est de méme nature que les panneaux à assembler mais dont l'épaisseur totale est égale à celle des panneaux à assembler diminuée de l'épaisseur totale des deux faces de ces panneaux.
Le collage de la fausse languette, réalisé par serrage sur une presse à chaud assure une Jonction très résistante, sans discontinuité de matériaux, à 1'endroit de la jonction le long de laquelle les faces des deux panneaux aboutés se trouvent renforcées par les faces analogues de la fausse languette de Jonction à tel point que la structure est rendue plus résistante le long de l'assemblage.
Pour bien faire comprendre l'invention, on en décrira ci-après plus en détails une forme d'exécution en référence au dessin schématique annexé dans lequel
la figure 1 montre en coupe transverale les deux panneaux sandwichs écartés de part et d'autre de la fausse languette d'assemblage ; et
la figure 2 montre l'assemblage obtenu par engagement des deux bords encollés de la fausse languette à lgintérieur des deux évidements ménagés le long des bords à joindre des deux panneaux qui doivent entre aboutés.
Au dessin, on a indiqué en 1 l'ensemble d'un panneau sandwich composé d'une me en nid-d'abeilles 3 revêtue sur ses deux faces 5 et 7 de tissus renforcés de fibres de verre dans une résine époxyde ou phénolique. Un autre panneau identique 2 comprend de même un nid-d'abeilles 4 entre deux faces 6 et 8. Pour abouter les deux panneaux 1-2 ainsi représentés sur la figure 1, on a usiné ces panneaux 1 et 2 à la toupie pour enlever le nid-d'abeilles sur le chant de chacun des panneaux 1-2 en ménageant ainsi entre les faces 3-5 et entre les faces 4-6 un évidement 9-10 dont la profondeur est égale à une moitié de la largeur de la fausse languette d'assemblage Il constituée comme les panneaux à assembler par un nid-d'abeilles 12 entre deux faces 13-14.
Cette fausse languette, qui peut titre d'une largeur de 20 à 40 mm, est débitée dans un panneau analogue aux panneaux 1 et 2 mais dont ltépaisseur est égale à celle de ces panneaux à assembler diminuée des épaisseurs des parois 3 et 5 ou 4 et 6 pour pouvoir s'engager par les deux moitiés de sa largeur à la fois dans les évidements 9 et 10 après avoir été encollée. Quand la languette se trouve ainsi insérée par moitiés dans les bords à abouter des deux panneaux 1-2 dont les faces 5-6 d'une part et 7-8 d'autre part sont amenées bout à bout, les parties, ainsi assemblées comme le montre la figure 2, sont serrées sur presse à chaud et le collage ainsi réalisé est très résistant comme on l'a expliqué ci-dessus.On a indiqué sur la figure 2 en 15 la jonction bout à bout des faces 5-6 et en 16 la jonction bout à bout des faces 7-8.
Sur cette figure 2, on - voit que la face de l'assemblage comprenant la ligne de jonction 15 se trouve renforcée intérieurement de part et d'autre de cette ligne 15 par l'application de la face 13 de la fausse languette tandis que l'autre face de l'assemblage comprenant la ligne de jonction 16 est renforcée intérieurement de part et autre de cette ligne 16 par l'application de la face 14 de la fausse languette. On comprend ainsi que la résistance de l'ensemble du panneau composite se trouve augmentée dans la zone où les deux panneaux 1-2 sont assemblés bout à bout.
Dans le cas de panneaux à base de résine phénolique qui sont en principe des panneaux pare-flamme et coupe-feu, la résistance au feu est au moins aussi bonne dans la zone de jonction parce qutil n'y a pas discontinuité des matériaux. On peut même penser que cette résistance au feu doit au contraire être augmentée dans cette zone du fait que les faces ayant un r81e pare-flamme et calorifuge se trouvent doublées par l'assemblage selon l'invention0

Claims (2)

R E V E N D I C A T I O N S.
1. Procédé pour abouter deux#panneaux sandwichs de même section transversale comprenant une ame en nid-d'abeilles entre deux faces parallèles en tissus renforcés de fibres et imprégnés de résine consistant à utiliser pour l'assemblage des bords des deux panneaux (1-2) une fausse languette (11) débitée dans un panneau sandwich qui est de même constitution que les panneaux à abouter mais dont l'épaisseur totale est égale à celle de ces panneaux diminuée des épaisseurs de leurs deux faces (5-7 et 6-8), ce procédé se caractérisant par le fait qu'on enlève sur chant l'âme des panneaux à assembler sur une profondeur approximativement égale à la moitié de la largeur de la fausse languette de façon à ménager le long de chacun des bords à joindre un évidement (9-10) recevant une moitié de la fausse languette encollée puis qu'on engage chaque moitié de la largeur de la fausse languette dans chacun des deux évidements et enfin qu'on serre transversalement l'assemblage préparé sur une presse à chaud, de telle sorte que les faces 13-14 de la fausse languette, appliquées intérieurement contre les faces (5-7 et 6-8) des panneaux de part et d'autre de la ligne de Jonction (15 ou 16), renforcent la résistance de l'assemblage de part et d'autre de cette ligne de jonction.
2. Panneau composite obtenu par le procédé selon la revendication 1 et composé ainsi de deux panneaux sandwichs identiques joints bout à bout de part et d'autre d'une fausse languette débitée à partir d'un panneau sandwich analogue mais d'épaisseur moindre choisie pour que les faces de la languette se collent à l'intérieur des faces des deux panneaux élémentaires aboutés.
