Abstract

The invention relates to a controlled-opening hook for a windsurfing harness so that the user can release himself easily and instantly at any moment, whatever the tension on the harness and even in the absence of any tension. It comprises a strap-carrying plate 14 attached to the harness and fixed to this plate is a hook 12 which holds a cord 17 connected to the boom. The hook 12 is held in place by the piston 7 which is blocked by the catch 3. Action on the detent 1 releases the mechanism which throws the hook 12 forward. Returning the hook 12 to its position resets the whole mechanism. The invention may be applied to the harness of a sailboard or dinghy, and its detent system to any other use in which it is necessary to free oneself or some object instantly from a tension, whatever tension this may be: towrope, safety belt, crossbow, etc.

Description

la présente invention concerne un crochet à ouverture commandée pour harnais de planche à voile. the present invention relates to a hook with controlled opening for a windsurfing harness.

The practice of windsurfing in good winds often requires the wearing of a harness attached to the terminal (wishbone) thus allowing to relieve the musculature of the ste board, but many practitioners have a understandable reluctance to use this accessory t which sometimes constitutes an additional cause of fall during overselling or refusal (sudden absence of wind), precipitating them into the water with their rigging, for lack of having had time to free themselves quickly
We therefore used controlled systems, but the closing of the hook requires the use of two hands while its opening (rarely possible with one or the other hand), is only ensured if the harness is sufficient in tension, which is not always the case during certain falls; moreover when the tension is high it is sometimes difficult to operate the recanism.

For other systems whose opening is tared to an adjustable tension, the problem is even more obvious (untimely opening. En route and not opening at delicate times).

In both cases the rider in the water, on or under his rigging, is unable to free himself quickly when the fall has taken place.

In the system according to the invention, the hooking of the hook is ensured instantly with a single simple gesture (right hand or left hand regardless); same facility for the release and whatever the tension exerted on the hook as well as in the absence of any tension.

In the event of an unexpected fall on or under the rig, the same simple gesture is enough to be released instantly.

According to a first variant, the mechanism is perpendicular to the harness; according to a second variant ie mechanism
being is parallel, the hook / him always perpendicular but.

(N3) The system can be mounted hook facing
up or down depending on habits or tastes.

As shown, the device in the closed position comprises a plate 14 on which the strap of the harness will be fixed.

The cord 17 connected to the wishbone is retained by the hook 12 which is supported by one of its lugs on the pin 16 of the piston 7 blocked by the trigger 3 kept hooked by the trigger 1 which is controlled by a running end under the plate.

RELEASE: When dropping, the rotation at 8 of the trigger I down on the axis 5 releases the trigger 3 which pivots at 9 on its axis 6 disappears, causing the piston 7 to sink into its housing 18 (attracted by spring 11); the pin 16 of the piston 7 then projects the hook 12 forward 15 by means of its lug, thus releasing the cord 17.,
As soon as the trigger 1 is released, the spring 4 reinserts it in place, as well as the trigger 3.

ARt4EMENT: During the ar.mentation, the closing of the hook 12 in the direction opposite to 15 attracts the piston 7 outwards via one of the lugs of the hook 12 thus putting the spring there in tension.

At the same time, the cocking lever 2 which carries the axis 6 of the trigger 3 disappears at 10 when the piston 7 passes by pivoting on the axis 5; at this stage, the return spring 4 (common to the trigger, the arming lever and the trigger) puts the upper part of the trigger 3 back in the lower recess of the piston 7 blocking the latter as well as the whole system .

The invention can be applied to a windsurfing or dinghy harness and its trigger system for any other use where tension must be released or released instantly and whatever the latter: seat belt laughs, towing cable, crossbow, etc etc ... *.
