Abstract

The present addition to the main patent No. 83 07749 relates to the suspension element allowing suspension of a patient by the feet. It comprises: a lower rear half-boot 1 and an upper front half-boot 2 which can move around a joint 9 allowing opening of the boot for passage of the foot. The upper front half-boot 2, being provided with a fastener 10 of special shape, allows suspension of the patient by the feet from a fixed bar. The whole of the inside of the two half-boots is lined with a dense compressible foam 5. Amongst the most important applications may be mentioned the exceptional comfort afforded to patients compared with existing suspension elements of this type and of that presented in the main patent. On the other hand, the special shape of the fastener 10 offers greater security for the patient being suspended.

Description

 This addendum to main patent No. 83/07749 relates to physiotherapy equipment of the "massage table" type and its accessory, the suspension element by the feet.

 With known suspension elements of this kind, such as the American patent No D.380.447 and the main patent No 83/07749, the comfort of the patient suspended by the feet upside down is relative, the latter was retained only with the tightening of a gaiter at the ankle, and the security restricted on the one hand by the presence of a single closing hook as in American patent NO 3,580,447 and on the other hand by the too great ease outlet of the hook fixed bar. the suspension element according to the additive makes up for this lack of comfort and security.

 Indeed, the latter, a real boot, encompasses not only the ankle but all the kick to the toes, thus increasing the bearing surface, and therefore comfort by a better distribution of the weight of the patient's body.

In addition, the patient's safety is increased on the one hand by the configuration of this boot in two half-boots closed above the ankle and at the foot, on the other hand thanks to the special shape of the hook which is made up of two concave handles allowing both the support of the fixed bar and the opening of the hook makes a sort of baffle at the exit of the fixed bar, the upper beak being longer than the lower beak.

 According to a first variant, the boot opens thanks to an articulation located at the metatarsophalangeal level, the upper anterior half-boot tilting from back to front.

 According to a second variant, the boot opens thanks to an articulation located at the tibio peroneal level, the upper antero half-boot lifting from bottom to top.

 According to a third variant, the boot opens thanks to a hinge located inside the leg, the upper antero half-boot opening from outside to inside.

 As shown in Figures 1,2,4,5,6 and 7, the suspension boot comprises a lower posterior half-boot (I) of sufficiently rigid material provided with male (6) or female (7) closures ) type "sky shoes"; a half antero upper boot (2; of sufficiently rigid material provided with either male (6) or female (7) closures type "sky shoes" or a "velcro" closure ( 3 and 4), fitted with a specially shaped hook (in).

 The interior of the two half-boots is lined with dense compressible foam (5).

 For a first variant, the upper antero half boot (2) opens by tilting from back to front around a joint (8) located at the level of the phalangeal mctatarso joint of the foot.

 For a second variant, the upper antero half boot (2) opens by lifting from the bottom up around a joint (9) located at the tibio peroneus level.

 For a third variant, the upper antero half-boot (2) opens from outside inside around a hinge (I5) located in the axis of the leg on the tibia side.

 The upper antero half-boot (2) is provided with a special hook (0) which presents: two handles, upper (II) and lower (12) concave, in which the fixed bar of the seat table can be accommodated main patent; and two nozzles, upper (13) and lower (14), the upper (13) being longer than the lower (I4) baffled at the outlet of the fixed bar.

In addition, in a third variant, this half-boot is
has upper tero (2) / an inverted part (16) which descends inside as far as under the sole of the lower posterior half-boot - (1), encompassing the latter when the boot is closed.

Suspension element according to claim I of this addition certificate characterized in that the front half-boot (2) comprises a metal hook of special shape (lo) having: an upper concavity in the shape of a handle (li) and a lower concavity in the shape of a handle (12) allowing the support of a fixed bar in one or the other of these concavities; and an upper beak (I3) longer than the lower beak (14) forming a baffle at the outlet of the fixed bar.  7. Suspension element according to claim I of this addition certificate characterized in that the closing of the two half-boots (Iet2) is done either by hooks type "sky shoes" (6 and 7) or by a system "Velcro" type tape (3 and 4).
