Abstract

Device for handling manhole covers. The invention relates to a manual device for unplugging, holding and manipulating all manhole covers provided with an emerging central orifice. It is constituted by a handle assembly 1 equipped with a trigger 2, which operates a linking mechanism housed in the body 4, allowing the expansion of the end-piece 7 which has previously been placed in the orifice of the manhole cover A. This device is provided with a hammering head 3 and with a rubber-coated zone 5 ensuring a better hand hold during the unplugging operation. A skirt 6 protecting the opening mechanism is provided. This device is provided for the handling of all types of manhole cover having an emerging central orifice by means of interchangeable end-pieces 7.
