Abstract

According to the invention, the support is constituted by a piece 1 made of any material endowed with relative flexibility, in which at least one groove 3 is made following a predetermined angle with the longitudinal development of the element, such as a plant trunk or stem, the holding of which has to be achieved by the presence of an iron wire 4 engaged by force into said groove, said piece being completed by means for encircling said element. These means comprise, in the example shown, two bands 5, 6 which are developed longitudinally on either side of the piece 1 and each end of which is provided with adjustable means 7, 8 of fixing on the element to be held.

your present invention relates to advantageous fixing means of the kind provided in French patent application No 82 19531 filed on November 22, 1982 in the name of the holder, making it possible to join two elements developed in length and such as in particular trunks and plant stems on the one hand, fixing wires on the other hand as is required for example for trellising fruit trees.

These means constitute a favorable addition to the device which is the subject of the aforementioned patent application, in particular they facilitate the maintenance of elements not perpendicular to the fixing wire forming any angle with the latter, this angle possibly even being zero.

Figures 5 and 6 devoted to an alternative embodiment of the support of Figures 1 and 2 respectively represent one and the other of the faces of a support no longer formed of a single piece but of two independent parts joined by a piece such as a rivet.

FIG. 7 represents a transverse view of the support of FIGS. 5 and 6 and FIG. 8 is a transverse view of a support, independent of the clamp, but provided with a pass for the housing of this collar.

FIG. 9 represents a support in which the fixing of the element to be maintained is obtained by means of an independent link such as a clamping collar.

FIGS. 10 and 11 represent two different embodiments of the support shown in FIG. 9.

In FIG. 1, the reference 1 designates the whole of the support which comprises the part 2 in which is made a curved groove 3 intended to receive the retaining wire 4. The part 2 is extended on both sides by the bands 5 and 6 forming a clamp. For this purpose, the strip 3 is provided with notches 7 intended to penetrate into a perforated part 8 of the strip 5. The different notches 7 thus make it possible to adapt the periphery of the collar to the dimensions of the element to be maintained. Of course it is possible to provide several perforations 2 so as to provide the required adaptation.

In FIG. 3, the central part 2 of the support is shown in section. One notices the groove 3 in which the wire 4 is engaged. One of the edges of this groove is provided with a lip 10 intended to maintain the place wire 4 forced into groove 3.

However, according to this embodiment, the clamp formed by the bands 5 and 6 is independent of the support provided for receiving the retaining wire 4.

This embodiment then comprises a pie ce 12 in which the groove 3 is practiced.

This part is connected to the clamp by a part such as a rivet 13.

This embodiment is shown transversely in FIG. 7 in which the references are of course identical to those of FIGS. 5 and 6.

 'a Figure 3 shows a method of attachment according to which the clamp is shown in section and designated by the reference 14. According to this variant the support 12 in which is formed the groove 3 is provided with a pass-through part 15 for housing of the collar 14.

 In FIG. 9, the clamping means is constituted by an attachment link 16 encircling the support 17 in which the groove 3 is made.

FIGS. 10 and 11 represent variant forms of the support 17 in FIG. 9.

In FIG. 11 passage notches 18 and 19 are provided for the passage of the link 16, while in FIG. 10 there are perforations 20 provided so that the clamping means are engaged therein as indicated in FIG. 9.

 I1 it is understood that the shapes and proportions shown in the accompanying drawing are by way of non-limiting examples, and that without departing from the scope of the invention any modifications may be made to the examples given and illustrated and in the context of the claims which follow .

Claims (5)

Support provided for maintaining an element 11 using a means such as a wire, and applicable in particular in arboriculture, characterized in that it is constituted by. pie ce (1; 17) of any material with relative flexibility, in which at least one groove (3) is formed at a predetermined angle with the longitudinal development of the element, such as trunk and stem of plants, of which the maintenance must title assured by the presence of a wire (4) forcibly engaged in said groove, said part being supplemented by means of clamping said element.  2 Support according to claim 1, characterized in that at least one edge of the groove (S) forms a lip (lo) determining the maintenance da wire engaged by force dams said groove. 3. Support according to claim 1, characterized in that the groove is curved longitudinally to the development of the support. 4. Support according to claim 1, aractérisé in that it is an integral part of a clamp formed by two bands (5, 6) developed longitudinally on either side and each other whose ends are provided with adjustable fixing means on the element to maintain (7, 8). 5. Support according to claim 1, characterized in that the support is provided with a part such as a rivet (13), designed to form a pivoting holding axis of the clamp encircling the element to be maintained  Support according to claim 1, characterized in that it is provided with a part (15) forming a passing collar.
