Abstract

This endo-orthesis for flat feet, of the type consisting of a body made in a single piece from a moulded, elastic and armless material, is intended to make a non-slip buffer for the astragalus and the calcaneum; this buffer has an appreciable conicity 1 as far as one of its ends 2 which is extended by an axial appendage 3 of lenticular cross section, provided in order to be matched to the shape and length of the internal canal of the tarsus, the said appendage being terminated at its free end, by a flexible discoid expansion 4, in order to allow it to pass through the said canal and to be recovered subsequently automatically, in order to ensure the endo-orthesis is held in the internal part of the foot, thus producing a self-anchoring function of the system.
