Abstract

The present invention is related to the field of foodstuff distribution, foodstuffs which are kept cold and sold in self-service stores. Its object is a radical change of the conventional sale of such foodstuffs. The invention is characterised by a double curtain of cold air 3 and 4, rapid curtain 3 and cold enclosure 4. The products are displayed rotating 7 in the cold enclosure 4 on metal supporting shutters 8. At the rear of the piece of furniture, the removable panel 5 enables a refrigerator to be fitted. In the event of the least temperature anomaly, the removable curtain 2 is lowered, preventing all access to the defective merchandise. All the automatic controls are regulated by a microprocessor 22. The real temperature of the products is permanently shown by means of a digital thermometer 23. The most attractive applications of the invention to be mentioned are refrigeration for commerce as well as an extension to refrigeration in the household.
