Abstract

Device enabling a person drawing the straddling cart, automatically via a hydraulic remote control, to ensure the transport and loading of various products, in particular the picking up of the grape during grape harvesting. It comprises : a metal frame supported by two wheels, and at the front, a tow-hook with supporting prop. Along the axis of the hook and at the centre, there is a vertically sliding fork 1 trailing on the ground. The fork moves up into a first vertical cage 2 driven by a hydraulic jack 5, the second, other cage 3, located next to and along the axis of the first one, also receives the baskets when the first one is full, a retractable stop-piece 4 prevents the basket from falling back to the ground. When this basket remains fastened, the fork moves back down to the ground in order to collect a second basket and so on; a hydraulic arm 6 grasps the basket by means of clamps 7 and, after having pivoted about its axis, lays the basket down onto the trailer. The invention may be used for the transport and loading of grape baskets in vineyards, as well as in any other operation for collecting citrus fruits (these examples are non-limiting).
