Abstract

The invention relates to the manufacture of an earth screen based on glass or carbon or aramid ("Kevlar", registered trademark of Dupont de Nemours) fibres combined with epoxy and/or polyester resins 1, 3, 5, 7. The earth-screen, deicing, drying, and cooling functions are all assembled into a compact product; however, each may be used individually. The product is particularly intended for telecommunication and satellite-television antennas. A simplified variant is used for the HF screening of electronics on board aircraft, spacecraft or ships. The chemical characteristics of the polyester allow, by this method, the manufacture of a mean-temperature thermal enclosure which can be flush-cleaned with water for the food and chemical industries.

De plus la facilité d'inclure dans les matériaux composites des éléments très légers donc fragiles, confère à ces derniers des caractéristiques mécaniques égales ou supérieures aux méthodes conventionnelles.
