Abstract

Blade for mechanical shavers whose edge is constituted by diamond cut with an edge whose angle is equal to or less than twenty degrees.

Description

 The present invention relates to the blade of the razor shaver instruments for cutting the beard and hairs in general.

 In the known devices of this kind, the blade is made of steel. This metal has always been used in the production of razor blades. However, although satisfactory, this metal entails a limitation the life of the razor blades.

First of all, some epidermis can hardly withstand what is commonly known as the "fire of the sea". This manifestation of the skin is caused by the microscopic asperities of the metal which plow the epidermis in certain areas of the skin of the skin, sometimes bringing the face of the user to the fore.
Then, the steel of the blade oxidizes fairly rapidly to the contact of water and shaving products, which has the effect of damaging the wire of the blade, the latter becoming a generator of irritation, see d infections of the skin surface.  The razor blade according to the invention makes it possible to avoid all these disadvantages. It suffices to replace the cutting part of 1 blade by a cutting edge consisting solely of shaped diaman. This "wire" blade is secured to a stainless metal support by crimping or molding. Several diamond elements can thus be assembled to form a blade of usual graneur. This produces a perfect razor blade with all the advantages of diamond on steel. The vi length of such a blade is not even comparable to that of a steel blade, the hardest it is. To be convinced, it is enough to see the dc : Green silicon obtains the 2130 rating on the global scale of hardness while that of diamond is between 5500 and 6950. No steel can therefore compete with diamond in terms of resistance to wear, which means that the blade according to the invention has a sharp edge over the entire thread and its contact with the skin does not cause the "razor burn" for two reasons: the polished diamond does not present microscopic asperities and this material does not s' does not heat up with friction, as it is the case for steel. These advantages make a shave pleasant, without the disadvantages of a steel blade.

 The blade according to the invention is absolutely stainless by any product, even the acid, which completely cancels out the phenomena of wear and irritation known until then.

 Unlike razors receiving ordinary blades, razors receiving the blade according to the invention can be rendered at their simplest expression; this blade will be screwed or welded directly onto the body of the razor, since it is no longer necessary to change, allowing the design of shaving tools lighter and more compact.

 The life of the blade according to the invention being practically unlimited, the user of such an instrument can only be praised for its aequisition, pleasant to look at, no longer requiring special care precautions, removing the "razor burn" ", shaving infinitely much better than a steel blade, and finally, he will no longer fear the unpleasant phase of the progressive wear of his blade.

 According to a first variant, the wire of the blade according to the invention consists of several diamond elements juxtaposed.

 According to a second variant, the wire of the blade according to the invention consists of a single diamond element.

 According to a third variant, the entire blade is constituted by a diamond.

 The attached drawing is a view of three quarters of the blade according to the invention. The sharp edge A is constituted by one or more diamond elements, shaped, polished and juxtaposed. The support B consists of a stainless metal or a bronze alloy plated with them, chromium or nickel or other stainless metals.

Parts A and B being secured by crimping or molding.
