Abstract

A number of connectors are located in a distribution box at a subscriber location. The telephone lines are connected to these connectors for the telephones and terminals. Each telephone line is connected to the connectors through a line connector block and protection module to provide overvoltage protection. A test module permits connection of test and measuring equipment to allow fault conditions to be located. In addition to connection to the terminal and telephone lines the test modules are connected to other connectors for the telephone bell circuits. The connectors accept plug connections from flying leads from a number of terminal blocks. These blocks are connected by cables to the subscriber locations.
