Abstract

The sectional joiners cramp comprises several pieces capable of assembly in various arrangements. A cruciform frame (1) is used to mount slidable cramp arms (2,3) with fixed or screw actuated grip plates, having lugs built (1B) onto a perpendicular socket arm (1A), and being made from square hollow sections. The female socket has internal dimensions matching the external dimensions of the male and is used to mount alternative slidable rails (4,5). The cramp arms may cantilever from sliding collars which tilt to wedge in place on the rails.

Description

MULTIPLE COMBINATION JOINTS
The present invention relates to clamps; it allows from 6 standard elements to build clamps of very different types and uses0 (see fig. 3 to 7 showing some possibilities).

The 6 elements are t
- (1) main piece in the shape of a cross of prismatic section (square or rectangle or other), male in the first direction and female, in the second perpendicular direction, of equivalent interior section. (see fig. 1),
- (2) a pad holder arm with a fixed pad (this pad will be striated for support on metal or large areas and coated with a non-slip material for support on wood) 3 it holds by arching in any position of the mSle part and possibly has a locking by pressure screw (see fig. 1),
- (3) a pad holder arm with a movable pad on a ball joint and using a threaded element (pad: coating identical to (2),
- (4) a male rod of identical cross-section to (1) comprising a threaded element at one end and a drilling series to create a connection in translation with (1),
- (5) a male rod with a cross section identical to (1) and (4) but long,
- (6) a skid screw identical to the previous ones.

It rests on a nut secured to a female element with a prismatic section identical to (1).

The user can at will and very quickly using these 6 elements build for example s
- a normal clamp:
. short using (1), (2), (3),
. medium using (2), (3), (4),
. long using (2), (3), (5),
- an inverted clamp (spacing at the back of the connection by ret @ urnant (2) and (3) either on (1), (4) or (5),
- an alaizes or edge clamp using (1), (2), (3) and (4) or (5) and several times (6), see fig. 4),
- a double clamp using (1), (2), (3) and (5), (2), (3), (see fig. 5),
- an end clamp for long pieces using (1), (2), (3) and (4), (see fig. 6),
- any jointing or cutting clamp using (1), (2) and (3), twice with (4), (see fig. 7).

 The invention is in no way limited to the applications mentioned above, nor to the embodiments of its various parts having been indicated @ s -: on the contrary, it embraces all of its variants.

Claims (9)

R E V E N D I C A T I O N S  -1- Clamps characterized in that it comprises a plurality of elements usable in combination, in particular a main part (1) profiled in the form of a cross, of prismatic section, male in the first direction, and, female, of the same interior section, in the second direction, perpendicular to the first; said male and female sections cooperating with complementary profiles established on other secondary elements constituting the clamp, defined in particular by shoe-carrying arms, profiled connecting rods provided or not with complementary means.  -2- Clamps according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises pad carrier arms with rigid pad (2) / or movable pad, arranged on the male branch of the first direction of the main cross .  -3- Clamps according to claim.2, characterized in that the pad holder arm having a movable pad by means of threaded elements and by spherical connection, is blocked by bracing on the male branch of the first direction of the main room.  -4- Clamps according to claim 2, characterized in that the pad holder brans having a fixed pad, is blocked by bracing on the male branch of the first direction of the main part, as well as by pressure screw .  -5- Clamps according to claims l and 2 together, characterized in that it comprises a main part (l) and pad holder arms (2 and 3) -constituting the basic clamp clamps.  -6- Clamps according to Es revendicatior l, 2 and 5 together, characterized in that it comprises a rod of prismatic section (4 - 5) engaged in the main cross-shaped part (1) of the basic clamps, and provided with pad support arms (2 - 3) constituting a double clamp allowing simultaneous tightening in two perpendicular directions.  -7- Clamps according to claims 1, 2 and 5 together, characterized in that the prismatic section rod (4 - 5) engaged in the main cross-piece (l) of the basic clamps, is provided with skid screws (6 ?, which cooperate with a complementary nut or profile, integral with an element of prismatic section of complementary section and adapting to the rod, the assembly allowing a distributed and adjustable tightening along a border.  -8- Clamps according to claims- 1, 2 and 5 together characterized in that the prismatic section rod (4 - 5) engaged in the main cross-piece (1) of the clamp -base base, comprises a threaded element at one end and constitutes an end clamp by being fitted with a pad holder with movable pad and a means of stop in translation of the rod relative to the main part, l 'assembly allowing clamping on very long parts, without access or support at the other end.  -9- Clamps according to claims l, and 5 together, characterized-in that two base clamps mounted on the same rod (4) allow by approximation using threaded elements, .serrage assembly with any cuts.
