Abstract

Cosmetic, esp. useful as a shampoo, comprises an association of sodium laurylsulphate (I), ethyleneglycol stearate (II) and lactic acid (III). Pref. the association comprises 58-62, esp. 60% of (I), 37-41, esp. 39% of (II) and 0.8-1.2% of (III). Concentrations used in aq. soln. comprise 8-12% of (I), 5.5-7.5% of (II) and 0.1-0.15% of (III). The prod. may also contain methyl para-hydroxy-benzoate and/or colourants and/or perfumes. Shampoo has excellent properties and is free of undesired side-effects. Clinical tests are described in which the association gives excellent results for example (a) the period from washing until the hair becomes greasy again is increased by about 25%, allowing less frequent washing of the hair and (b) comparison with commercially available shampoos show this compsn. gives much longer periods before the hair becomes greasy.

Description

The present invention relates to new
cosmetics which can be used in particular as
shampoos.

There are many adapted shampoos
to the different types of hair and scalp: sham
pooings for normal hair, for dry hair, for hair
fat, shampoos for dandruff scalp, etc ...

These different shampoos usually contain
alkyl sulphates, aryl sulphonates, alkylaryl sulphonates,
sulfonated fatty amides, ammonium compounds
nary, etc.

A good shampoo must clean both the hair and the scalp without irritating or stinging; it must degrease without drying and remove all the natural oil from the scalp; it must not form any deposit either in batten or on the hair; he must maintain the hair as long as possible soft and lustrous
without making them fragile and brittle; it must be easy to remove with water by rinsing and it must be economical. An excellent shampoo must, in addition, present, in addition to cosmetological qualities, true therapeutic effects by its anti-seborrhea, anti-dandruff and anti-itching.

 None of the currently known shampoos has this ideal profile, also the Applicant has set a goal to provide a shampoo suitable for very oily hair, dull and difficult to comb, while having therapeutic actions on the microbial development responsible for dandruff and itching, on seborrhea and pruritus, while being perfectly tolerated by the most fragile hair and the most sensitive skins.

 The Applicant has succeeded, after long trials of clinical experimentation, to develop such a sham fist.

The present invention relates to a new cosmetic product that can be used especially as a shampoo,
characterized in that it consists of a combination of
sodium lauryl sulphate, ethylene glycol stearate and
lactic acid.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the subject of the present invention, the respective quantities of these various components are from 58 to 62% and, preferably, from
60%, for Na lauryl sulphate, from 37 to 41%, and preferably 39% for ethylene glycol stearate; and of
0.8 to 1.2% for lactic acid.

According to another advantageous embodiment of the subject of the invention, the concentration of these products in the aqueous solution is from 8 to 12% for lauryl
Na sulfate, 5.5 to 7.5% for ethylene glycol stearate and 0.1 to 0.15% for lactic acid.

 According to the invention, the cosmetic product according to the present invention contains, in addition, methyl parahydrogybenzoate and / or dyes and / or perfumes.

 The remarkable cosmetological and therapeutic effects of the shampoos according to the present invention have been demonstrated by clinical examinations carried out by doctors.

 The following clinical trial report is, of course, given by way of illustration of the subject of the invention but does not in any way constitute a limitation thereof.

CLINICAL EXPERIMENTATION REPORT
The shampoo according to the invention has been given to
59 people (33 women and 26 men), came to consult for hair problems: oily hair, dandruff, pruritus of the scalp and sometimes hair loss, but without any particular dermatological or pathological antecedent. Patients did not take any drugs by either the general or the local route, except for oral contraception in 8 out of 33 women.

 The frequency of washing the hair was left to the convenience of subjects who were reviewed after 1 month, 2 months and 3 months of use.

The parameters measured throughout the test were the following: - seborrhea, by the time of relubrication in days, - the presence of dandruff, - the existence of pruritus, - the delay between two washes, - l cosmetological effect: swelling and shine of the hair,
ease of styling, - - local tolerance.

For the general statistical analysis of the results, we took into account all the observations of the first month, ie 58 subjects, considering that for the subjects not reviewed at the eighth and third month, ie 4 persons, the data collected at the 1st month n ' had not evolved.

The results (especially those after 3 months of treatment) demonstrate very significantly that the shampoo according to the present invention increases on average 25% the regreasing time of the hair.

 The use of the shampoo according to the present invention not only makes it possible to significantly lengthen the regreasing time of the hair, but also makes it possible to reduce the washing frequency or, at equal frequency, to keep a non-greasy hair longer. This effect is even more marked than seborrhea is more important (reluishing in 1 to 2 days).

The effect of shampoo on pruritus is spectacular, since at the 3rd month of treatment, 77% of treated subjects have no more itching.

 It should also be noted that among the remaining subjects (22.7%), more than half showed a marked improvement.

COSMETOLOGICAL EFFECT
The cosmetological value of the shampoo was measured by the three desired effects
- the ease of styling,
- the effect of swelling of the hair,
- the shiny appearance of the hair.

After 1 month, 2 months, and 3 months of use, all subjects (52 in total) were asked if they had noticed an improvement over the previous status for these three criteria. shown in Table V below

As of the 2nd month, more than 80% of the subjects note an improvement for all three effects (the lustrant effect is particularly found: 95%).

It follows from the foregoing description that irrespective of the modes of implementation, of realization and of application adopted, shampoos are obtained which have, compared to products aimed for the same purpose and previously known, significant advantages. , some of which have already been mentioned in the foregoing, and in particular - the advantage of giving the hair a lustrous and shiny appearance, - the advantage of providing a swelling effect of the che
velvet, - the advantage of having a remarkable effect on the
seborrhea, on pruritus and on film - the advantage of a perfect tolerance allowing its use
intensive training.

 As is apparent from the above, the invention is not limited to those of its modes of implementation, implementation and application which have just been described more explicitly; it embraces, on the contrary, all the variants that may come to the mind of the technician in the field, without departing from the scope or scope of the present invention.
