Abstract

The modular section is for indoor or outdoor architecture, particularly for furniture, for assembling parts together. The section is U-shaped (13,16) with a length (L) a multiple of a base section. The sides (14,18) of the section have perforations (15,19), into which fit fixtures.

Description

 The present addition relates to improvements to the main patent which describes a modular element for interior or exterior architecture, as well as a set of interior or exterior architecture, produced by means of a assembly of these elements.

 The main patent thus describes various embodiments of this architectural assembly, which comprise assemblies of a series of modular U-shaped elements whose widths and lengths of the wings are variable, these assemblies being provided with means for fixing the modular elements to each other by their wings.

 The purpose of the first addition certificate is to propose a certain number of fixing means making it possible to assemble several modular elements together, and to fix some of these elements to surfaces which are no longer accessible after installation of said elements, it that is to say notably ceilings and floors.

 The second certificate of addition relates to a floor having the modular structure described in the main patent, in which the modular U-shaped elements are arranged in contiguous parallel rows, each consisting of a series of elements placed end to end, and of which the ends are joined by rigid internal frames fixed to the elements.

 In the various embodiments of assemblies which have been the subject of the main patent and of the abovementioned additions, the U-shaped elements have their wings substantially at right angles to the intermediate connecting branch.

However, it appeared that it was possible to make interesting combinations by means of U-shaped elements whose wings have a determined inclination relative to the plane of the intermediate branch. Indeed, depending on the inclination of the wings, it is possible to provide assemblies with contours that are no longer rectangular but polygonal.

 According to the present addition, the wings of the element are therefore inclined on the plane of the connecting branch between said wings in order to allow assemblies having polygonal contours.

 Thus, if the wings are inclined by 600 on a plane of the intermediate branch, it is understood that one can make an assembly formed of U-shaped elements having a hexagonal outline, which may be advantageous for making particular arrangements.

 Other features of the addition will become apparent during the description which follows, made with reference to the accompanying drawings, on which several embodiments of the modular element targeted by the addition have been shown.

 - Your Figure 1 is an end elevational view of a set of modular elements whose wings are inclined by 600 on the plane of the intermediate branch.

 The U-shaped elements represented in FIG. 1 are modular elements capable of being assembled together by their wings in order to constitute assemblies which can be used for the production of furniture, and the arrangement of parts such as offices, shops, parts of house as described in the main patent.

 The length of these elements is a multiple of that of a basic modular element, and perforations are provided along the wings of these profiles in order to allow their assembly with at least one other element of appropriate dimensions by suitable fixing means. crossing the perforations of the adjoining wings of the two elements as described in the main patent; along the wings of the elements, the perforations are carried out in a repetitive series identical to the series of perforations of the basic modular element.

 FIG. 1 shows three series of elements in U, A, B, C: series A comprises four elements 1, 2, 3, 4 whose wings 5 are inclined at an angle K equal to 60 on the plane P of the respective intermediate branches 6, 7, 8, 9 of these elements.

 Furthermore, the wings 5 are spaced from one another, or in other words diverge, and all have the same width.

 Finally, in this series A the intermediate branches 6, 7, 8, 9 have decreasing widths.

The series B consists of three elements 11, 12, 17 whose intermediate branches also have decreasing widths and less than the widths of the corresponding branches 6, 7, 8 of the elements 1 to 3 of the series A. On the other hand, the wings 14 , from the Serie
B have widths greater than the width of the wings of the series A, but equal to each other and they are also inclined by an angle g on the plane P 'of the intermediate branches, diverging from each other in each element.

 Finally, the C series consists of three elements 15, 16, 17, the intermediate branches of which have decreasing widths and are less than the widths of the corresponding branches of the B series, while their wings 18, 19, 21 have widths greater than those of wings 14, 15, 16, also being inclined by 600 on the plane of their central branch.

 The modular structure of all these elements is therefore similar to that described in the main patent, with the difference that the wings are spaced from one another and inclined by 600 on the plane of the intermediate branches, instead of being perpendicular to these.

 In the example illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 4, an arrangement of partitions has been made along a wall 22 by means of a set of U-shaped elements 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 reserving a certain volume between the wall 22 and this assembly of elements. These have different widths as well as wings of different widths. It can thus be seen that this arrangement comprises two elements 25, the wings of which have a greater width than the others, a door 31 being able to be mounted between the element 25 and the neighboring element 26. The latter has its wings open towards the outside of the volume between the wall 22 and the assembly of elements, which makes it possible to fix an element 40 receiving a planter 32 for decorative purposes. element 27 contiguous to element 32, assembled to it by their adjacent wings, is open towards the outside, which makes it possible to mount a podium 33 made up of a U-shaped element for the exhibition of objects various.

 The terminal elements 29 and 23 are fixed one to the element 30 which is applied against the wall 22 and the other directly to the wall 22.

 When an element has its branches open towards the outside, as is the case with elements 26 and 27, decorative bands 34, 35 formed of two elements can be attached to the upper part of these and more specifically to their wings. 'U-shaped elements.

 In this assembly as in all those made with elements whose wings have an inclination of 600 on the plane of the central branches, these extend in planes symbolized by the grid lines or more exactly in diamonds carried on the figure 2.

 It is understood that with elements whose lateral wings are thus inclined by 600, it is possible to produce very many combinations having polygonal contours, for example hexagonal with six consecutive elements.

 The prune of FIG. 3 is of triangular section and constituted by the combination of three U-shaped elements 50 whose wings 50a are fixed to the central branches 50b of the adjoining elements 50. To each container or element 50 can be attached an element 60 with wider wings, capable of supporting shelves for presenting material or information.

 It is also possible to make assemblies with octagonal contours by tilting the wings of the elements not more than 600, but about 450 on the plane of the intermediate branches.

U-shaped elements with side wings inclined according to the addition have several advantages
Firstly, this avoids grooving the plates to perform folds at 900, grooving which causes a decrease in the strength of the plates. Consequently, the inclination at 60 or 450 strengthens the solidity of the elements and of the assemblies formed by them.

 Secondly, elements thus modified can be easily stored by stacking on each other, therefore with a small footprint, which is impossible with tubs or U-shaped elements whose wings are folded to 900.

 Finally, additional decorative effects can be achieved by combining the U-shaped elements along general curved or polygonal lines or contours, instead of having sharp-angle assemblies.

 The addition is not limited to the exemplary embodiments described and may include numerous variant embodiments.

Claims (2)

 1 - Modular element (1, 2, ... 17) for interior and exterior architecture, in particular the production of furniture and the arrangement of rooms such as offices, shops, living rooms by assembly between them of a series of modular elements, constituted according to claim 1 of the main patent of a U-shaped profile whose length is a multiple of that of a basic modular element, and perforations are formed along the wings of this profile in order to allow the assembly of the latter with at least one other modular element of appropriate dimensions by suitable fixing means passing through the perforations of the contiguous wings of the two elements and, along the wings (14) of said element, the perforations are carried out in a repetitive series identical to the series of perforations of the basic modular element, characterized in that the wings (5, 15, 19) of this element (1, 2 17) are inclined on the plane ( P) of the branch (6, 7 ...) of liaiso n between said wings in order to allow assemblies along polygonal contours.  2 - Eloment according to claim 1 of this addition, characterized in that the wings (5, 14-21) are inclined, or by an angle of about 60 degrees on the plane of the intermediate branch for the production of assemblies following hexagonal contours, that is to say approximately 45 degrees for the production of assemblies with octagonal contours.
