Abstract

The garden fence has concrete or mortar bars (1) with their neighbouring sides (2) profiled to approximately 45 deg. so that the fence can form corners. The ties (3) or sheet of ties are cast into the fresh concrete, and are supple or deformable. They can be wire or ribbons of metal, textile, glass fibre or plastics. The fence can have spacings between the bars sufficiently small that the ground surrounding them retains them in place.

Description

The present invention relates to the edges of lawns, beds, flowerbeds and driveways as well as field or property fences.

A border or a fence is generally required to have several qualities: it must be solid and durable, inexpensive and also in some frequent cases, with a solid surface, in order to retain the soil cultivated inside the borders of the flower beds as is the case in the vegetable patch.

However, currently existing materials only those based on cements meet these conditions.

However, they have a drawback when they are used manuracturé in the form of plates to border sinuous aisles or rounded massifs; it's their rigidity.

The practical solution to solve this problem would be to use concrete elements which are narrow enough so that the segment of the formed polygon merges with the curve.

Unfortunately, this process would require so much time and care that it is practically unworkable.

 I1 goes all the way if these bars are joined to each other, as shown in plan, Fig, because then, not only the border - or the fence - follows the angles and curves but the installation turns out very fast.

To adapt to the incoming and outgoing angles, the bars 1 have on each of their faces chamfers2 close to 45 ".

The link or links joining the bars 1 are embedded in the fresh concrete, as soon as it is molded. They can have various shapes of wires or ribbons, flexible or deformable.

Fig 2 shows, in elevation, the border or the fence, depending on the height that we plan to give it. It can be seen that the product used on the edge has spaces between bars 1 which are sufficiently narrow so that the cultivated soil which it would eventually be necessary to retain is effectively so.

Fig.3 gives a variant of the shape which can be given to the bars 1 for decorative purposes.

Finally Fig 4 is an example of an embodiment for the formation of inward or outward angles.

These borders and fences, objects of the invention, allow high-speed mechanized manufacturing. In addition, by virtue of its ability to be spirally wound on a pallet, directly on leaving the machine, greatly simplifies handling problems.

CLAIMS. 1. Garden borders or fences formed by bars (1) of mortar or concrete characterized by the fact that these bars (1) are assembled in formation by links (3) taken in their mass. 2. Borders or fences according to claim 1, characterized in that the link (s) () or else the sheet of links, flexible or deformable, can be wires or ribbons, of metal, textiles, glass fibers or plastics. 3. Edges or fences according to claim 1, characterized in that the bars (1) have their neighboring sides profiled at an approximate angle of 4TO.
