Abstract

The cable anchor resists fatigue due to varying forces and has three pins (2) forced into a truncated cavity (3) in an anchor block (4). The exterior surfaces of the pins are smooth and machined as exactly as possible to the same angle as that of the smooth cavity. The thin end of the pins is entirely housed in the cavity which extends beyond the pins and the internal pin faces are roughened over their full length to grip the reinforcement (1).
