Abstract

The tester has a plastics body (1) with two contacts (9,9a) to be applied one to each pole of the battery under test. The contacts are connected to a galvometer (20). Each contact is formed at one end of an arm (8,17) of a pincers' actuated on the body against the action of a rubber band (11) positioned in a notch (10,10a). Each arm is formed of a conducting metallic rod bent at one end to form the contact, a transverse axle (7,16) engaged in a bearing (6,16a) on the body and a U-shaped section (12,12a) for controlling the separation of the arms against the retaining force of the rubber band.
