Abstract

Cosmetic formulations contain highly polymerised DNA (I) extracted from the soft roe of salmon. Claimed formulations are creams for daytime or nighttime use; gels; oil-in-water milks; sunscreen milks and creams also contg. a UV absorber, and lotions for use after exposure to the sun. The claimed night cream comprises (as water-in-oil emulsion) 55% lipid phase (6% oil of sweet almonds; 3% oil of avocado; 2% lanolin; 8% beeswax); nonionic emulsifier; excipient to make 45%; p-hydroxybenzoic acid ester; and 5% (I). (I) have a regenerating effect on cell nuclei, significantly slowing down the ageing process. The max. effect is obtd. in sunscreen formulations.
