Abstract

The method of printing a newspaper which has many local editions enables pages printed with the same information to carry a different entry such as the name of the region or town. When the plate is prepared for offset printing, an open rectangle is formed where the name of the town is to be printed. Also, an additional small section of a plate is prepared, with a rectangle carrying the name of the town. The printing roller which carries the plate also incorporates a rectangular hollows or recess. The small plate section is mounted on an adhesive coated strip which enables it to be fitted into the rectangular opening.
