Les echangeurs de ce type formant la chambre de combustion sont habituellement réalisés sous forme d'une nappe cylindrique de tubes d'eau disposes autour d'un brûleur central et enveloppes d'une coquille etanche destinée à collecter les produits de combustion qui s'évacuent par une cheminée.
