Abstract

The device consists of a cylinder (1) fitted with input and output apertures for the fuel. A float (2) moves vertically inside this cylinder (1). This float (2) is fitted with an electrically conductive component which slides along a resistor, thus forming a variable resistance which is a function of the level of fuel. The resistor is formed by two small plates (7) which are formed of metallic, or plastics material. The plates have a printed resistor on one face. These two small plates (7) are fixed back to back with the resistors on the outside. The conductive component (8) fixed onto the float (2) comprises two supple strips (9) connected together at one end, the other ends of which slide along the resistive plates (7).
