Abstract

The car door hinge comprises a first part attached to the bodywork which carries a cylindrical pivot (25) and a first stop (26) and a second part attached to the door which contains a cylindrical passage (13) and carries a second stop (14). The pivot locates into the cylindrical passage allowing the two parts to rotate with respect to one another over an arc determined by the point at which the two stops abut. The second part also incorporates a projection (15) which prevents the pivot from falling out of the passage.
