Abstract

The lifting frame is mounted on a U-shaped wheeled support (1) from which extends a height adjustable vertical column (2). The upper part of the column is rotatable w.r.t. the base so that the frame can be swung towards and away from a bed. A seat (5) which is detachable from a U-shaped frame (3) can be slid under the patient in bed and the frame can then be lowered to re-engage the seat. The frame has a set of quick fastening elements (4) to which the seat edges can be attached, before being lifted clear of the bed.

Description

 The present invention relates to devices intended to ensure the transfer of dependent or disabled patients.

 In known devices of this kind, the transfer of the patient is ensured by means of a support by straps, or by being rolled on a tray or even taken on a pallet slidally frontally between the legs, each of these systems benefiting from a height variation device.

Their more or less complex implementation pernet the transfer of the patient to another support such as wheelchair for example and implies for its release the withdrawal of the device or devices and often a new translation. The same maneuvers must be repeated for each new care or release.

 The device according to the invention makes it possible to ensure rapid treatment of the patient, his transfer by means of a stable support, as well as instantaneous release without any translation or strapping, the sup -port seat being disconnected will remain under the patient until his next tra -nsfert, thus allowing his new instantaneous treatment without manipulation and the use of the lifting device for several patients their number being directly proportional to that of the support seats supplied with the device lifting.

 The device which is the subject of the present invention comprises a U-shaped frame 1 mounted on casters. On one of the edges of this frame is fixed a lifting column 2 actuated by an internal hydraulic cylinder actuated itself by a manual or foot pump .This hydraulic cylinder can be replaced by another system such as a worm, for example.
