Abstract

Compsns. for cleaning the hands and other parts of the skin comprise a mixt. of a vegetable-derived absorbent powder and a detergent. The absorbent is pref. corn flour. The detergent can be anionic, cationic, nonionic or amphoteric. The compsns. pref. contain 85-95% absorbent and 5-15% detergent, opt. together with a bactericide or fungicide and/or a dye. The compsns. are esp. useful for removing oil and grease picked up from machinery, etc. They are easy to use, non-abrasive, and do not harm the skin.
