Abstract

Mirror is decorated by (a) thoroughly cleaning the mirror; (b) depositing one or more metal powders; (c) fixing the powders; (d) drying; (e) depositing at least one background layer; and (f) depositing, after drying, a protection layer. The mirror is cleaned with a mixt. comprising 90% denatured EtOH (90 deg.) and 10% alkali. The glass prod. is cleaned and treated at 20 deg. C and the hygrometric degree is not more than 70 deg. Fixing is effected with a colourless varnish such as a polyurethane with a reactant in an amt. of 25%. The background layer may be an acrylo polyurethane mixed with 20% hardener and 30% diluent for the polyurethane. The mirror obtd. has low reflection. The decoration can be adapted to each case and may vary. It has superior resistance in moist medium and has no ageing characteristics. The reflection varies according to exposure and angle of incidence.

Description

The subject of the invention is a method of decorating a
ice and decorated ice obtained by the implementation of
process.

Currently, to decorate an ice cream, we use different
processes including aging and silvering.

endroits.
To ~ To age an ice cream, the user deposits acid at
the place or places where he wants to get the spots of aged
ice ice then it silver ice there, at these
places.

Les inconvénients sont nombreux. The disadvantages are numerous.

It is, indeed, difficult to control the result well.

Furthermore, when an ice is aged, it is difficult to
stop aging, it continues over time.

If, for example, it is a panel made up of more
ice creams and it is necessary to replace a glass, it
will be very difficult to get the same shade, the same aging.

To silver an ice cream, apply a uniform deposit, the
tin which is protected by a copper layer, the whole is covered
protective varnish.

The major drawback is the very large reflecting effect of
this type of silver ice.

For a single glass, given the uniform deposit, there is no
only one uniform color. However, there is only one range
color restriction given by manufacturers for example
white, gray, bronze, coral, creole, green.

Industrial silver workers only deliver ice cream having
a thickness between 4 and 6 mm.

As with aged ice, there is quickly
deterioration of the edges after shaping.

The method according to the invention avoids all these drawbacks.

- The glass decorated according to this process is not very reflective.

cas.
The decoration is very varied and can be adapted to each
case.

La résistance est supérieure en milieu humide. The resistance is higher in a humid environment.

Le vieillissement est pratiquement nul. Aging is practically nil.

The reflections are different depending on the exposure and the angle of the
rays of light.

The method according to the invention consists in cleaning a glass on one face whatever its thickness, the cleaning is carried out with a mixture of 90% industrial ethyl alcohol denatured at 95 degrees and 10% alkali.

The glass product is in a cabin at around 2O0celcius and the humidity level must not exceed 70.

After cleaning under the conditions defined above, metal powder deposits are made.

These metals are for example bronze, aluminum, copper.

The powders are fixed by means serving as a fixer.

This means must be a colorless varnish such as polyurethane with a reactor in a proportion of 25 to. This varnish can be applied with a spray gun.

Then wait for complete drying. Then the base layer is applied, it gives the desired overall color.

On doit appliquer deux ou trois couches. Two or three coats should be applied.

the paint used must be a polyurethane acrylo mixed with
- 20% hardener,
- with 30% thinner for polyurethane.

After drying, an additional layer of protection must be applied.

The technical and aesthetic interest of this decoration process is easily understandable.

In addition, the work cabin requires little investment, a gun, a work table, a device for evacuating by extraction of paint vapors, a set of catalysis heating to allow cooking to the core so as to improve the '' hanging or fixing on ice.
