Abstract

The map comprises pages coupled to one another at a spine so that with the map open at its centre pages, there are pages at both sides of the spine. Each of the pages is of a different size to that of an adjacent page so that when viewed in the open condition with the smallest of the pages uppermost, at least one of the edges of the pages below the smallest pages is visible and displays one component of a two-component grid reference.
