Abstract

1. A warm-air generator for domestic use, comprising a blower (10) driven by an electric motor (12) and producing a warm-air current in a casing (14) by means of at least one heating resistor (16), said air current flowing between an air intake port (18) and a warm-air exit including two opening (20 and 22), i.e., the so-called "heating port" and the "drying port", and a control member (28) disposed in the warm-air current and adapted to be moved between a first position, in which is opens the heating port (20) and closes the drying port (22), and a second position, in which it opens the drying port (22) and closes the heating port (20), characterized in that said generator comprises regulating means including a hand switching knob (38) adapted to be either in a "heating" position, in which the output from the heating resistor (16) is relatively high, or in a "hair drying" position, in which said output is reduced, and that a transmission element between the hand switching knob (38) and the control member (28) is designed such that switching of the hand switching knob (38) from the "heating" position to the "hair drying" position moves the control member (28) from its first to its second position, and vice versa.
