Abstract

The combination writing instrument comprises two or more oblong units, each with a writing tip, such as a pencil and pen (2,3). These fit in a block forming a cap (10), with a socket (7,8) in which each is secured. The axes of the sockets can be parallel and in the same plane, or can converge onto a common point. The cap block can have a clip (12) accommodated in a groove between the two cylindrical sockets, or a magnet, and it can be cruciform, or formed by sections hinging together.

Instrument for writing.

 The present invention relates to writing instruments.

 We already know writing instruments consisting of a body containing ballpoint pen refills, of different colors. With this type of instrument, the user has the choice of color, but not that of the writing mode.

 The present invention relates to a writing instrument which offers not only a choice of colors, but also a choice of the writing mode: pen, ball, felt-tip pen, pencil, etc.

 The present invention relates to a writing instrument characterized in that it comprises at least two oblong elements each having a tip for writing, and a block forming a cap for all of said elements, said block having a receiving recess and maintenance for each element.

 According to the invention, the oblong element having a writing tip can be a ballpoint or fountain pen, or a felt or a lead pen, etc., and the block forming a cap can receive elements of the same type or of different type, and possibly allowing a choice of color. The means for holding each element with end-piece for writing in the recesses of the cap-forming block can be of any conventional type: by friction, by screwing or snap-fastening, etc.

 According to one embodiment of the invention, the cap forming block is constituted by two substantially cylindrical cap bodies, integral according to a common generator and forming a single piece. In this case, the block forming the cap may comprise a clip which is advantageously located at least partially in a groove formed in the junction zone of the two cylindrical bodies.

This arrangement allows the thickness to be reduced compared to an ordinary pen.

 In addition, the block forming the cap does not roll and is less easy to lose due to its shape and size.

Similarly, the side opposite the clip has a relatively large area, which allows marking such as the name of the owner, advertisement or the like, or even the insertion of a microcomputer or a watch.

 According to the invention, the block forming a cap comprises at least two recesses for receiving and holding the elements having a writing tip, and preferably the axes of these recesses are located in the same plane, and are parallel or compete at the same point .

 According to one embodiment of the invention, the cap forming block is a jumper.

 According to another embodiment, the block forming the cap comprises means of attachment, for example to a switchboard, and these means consist of at least one magnet.

 According to another embodiment, the block forming the cap is constituted by several elements articulated to each other.

 The invention will be better understood on reading the detailed description which follows and on examining the appended drawings which represent, by way of nonlimiting examples, several embodiments of the invention.

 The writing instrument 1 represented in FIGS. 1 and 2 comprises two oblong elements 2 and 3 each having a writing endpiece, 4 and 5 respectively, and a block forming a cap 6. The block 6 comprises a recess 7 for receiving and holding of element 2 and a recess 8 for receiving and holding element 3. In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, element 2 is a ballpoint pen and element 3 is a fountain pen . The block 6 is constituted by two substantially cylindrical cap bodies 9 and 10 secured along a common generator 11 and forming a single piece. The block 6 comprises a clip 12, located at least partially in a groove 13 formed in the junction zone of the two cylindrical bodies 9 and 10. On the side opposite to the clip 12, the block 6 comprises an electronic microcomputer.

 In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the cap forming block 14 is constituted by a jumper and receives four elements having a tip for writing, 15, 16, 17 and 18. In this embodiment, the axes of the recesses ( not shown) of block 14 are located in the same plane and compete at the same point. The block 14 has a cord 19.

 In Figures 4 and 5, there is shown a writing instrument 20 according to the invention, more particularly intended for lecturers. The instrument 20 comprises a block forming a cap 21, and a plurality of felt tip markers 22.

The block 21 has holes 23 for the passage of the fingers of one hand and / or the attachment to a table. The block 21 also includes other fixing means constituted by magnets 24.

 In the embodiment shown in FIG. 6, the cap forming block 25 is constituted by several elements 26, 27 and 28 articulated on an axis 29 to facilitate the taking up and the positioning of the elements with writing end pieces 30.

 Of course, the invention is in no way limited to the embodiments of the example described and shown, it is capable of numerous variants accessible to those skilled in the art, depending on the applications envisaged and without departing from it. of the scope of the invention.

A writing instrument, characterized in that it comprises at least two oblong elements each having a tip for writing, and a block forming a cap for all of said elements, said block having a receiving and holding recess for each element.  2. Instrument according to claim 1, characterized in that the axes of the receiving and holding recesses are parallel and in the same plane.  3. Instrument according to claim 2, characterized in that the axes of the receiving and holding recesses are in a plane and compete at the same point.  4. Instrument according to claim 2, characterized in that the cap forming block is constituted by two cap body -sensibly cylindrical, integral- along a common generator and forming a single piece.  5. Instrument according to claim 4, characterized in that the cap forming block comprises a clip located at least partially in a groove formed in the junction zone of the two cylindrical bodies.  6. Instrument according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the cap forming block comprises at least one magnet.  7. Instrument according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the cap forming block is a jumper.  8. Instrument according to claim 1, characterized in that the cap forming block is constituted by several elements articulated to each other.
