Abstract

The extractor removes exhaust gases from a motor vehicle maintenance workshop. It comprises at least one hole (4) housing a flexible pipe (5) attached at one end to a suction pump and is equipped at its free end with a muff (7) for attachment to the vehicle exhaust pipe. The opening (10) of the hole has gutters (12) on at least two of its sides whilst the muff carries hooks (13) which co-operate with at least one of the gutters to prevent the pipe (5) from falling down the hole.
