Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to devices of the "distributor manhole" type which can be placed in various positions in a sanitation installation, and in particular upstream of an underground spreading.
In known sanitation installations, a device often called a "distributing gaze" or "distributing gaze" or ink of another designation is frequently placed. The role of this device is to ensure the distribution of the effluent between the different spreading trenches. We generally try to ensure that this distribution takes place in such a way that the effluent flows flowing through each of the outlets of the device remain within certain limits depending on the incoming flow, we can for example try to ensure that the distribution is as close as possible to a distribution in equal flows. The flow being made by gravity, the design of the device must be specially studied. Sometimes, it comprises at least two zones, one of which located on the upstream side offers a volume allowing to receive and calm the flow before it arrives in a second zone in which it will separate and flow to the different exits.
In the remainder of the description, for convenience, the term "distributor gaze" will be used to designate any device of the type described in the preceding paragraph.
I1 often proves difficult to obtain a good functioning of the distributor gaze. This is in particular due to the difficulty that there is in "sufficiently calming" the flow, operating a damping of turbulence and flow peaks.
The distributor gaze according to the invention makes it possible to avoid or reduce this drawback. It is in fact characterized by a tranquilization zone in which a material or a device has been placed that the effluent is forced to pass through. It can be a layer of gravel, sand, or another material within the duel must flow; it can also be a sieve, a membrane, a canvas or another device that the effluent will have to pass through; it may also be a combination of these devices. This passage slows the flow and achieves a damping of turbulence and flow peaks, the calm thus obtained being the desired condition favorable to a better distribution between the different outlets of the distributor gaze.
In addition, in the dispenser manhole according to the invention, a retention of suspended solids is likely to be caused by the passage through the aforementioned material or device. The stopping of suspended matter has a double interest: on the one hand with regard to underground spreading or more generally of the downstream device that suspended matter could clog; on the other hand vis-à-vis the septic tank or the upstream device because by stopping suspended matter, or even by being clogged by it, the distributor gaze provides information on their presence and their abundance, or the presence and the abundance of suspended matter in the liquid from the septic tank are directly related to its proper functioning and the rate of sludge it contains, the same information is interesting in the same way when it is not a septic tank but another device which is upstream of the distributor manhole, for example a biological purification device with activated sludge.
The advantage described in the preceding paragraph of the distributor look if the invention can lead to avoiding placing in the installation an apparatus which would be specially intended for one stop of suspended matter.
The accompanying drawings are on the one hand a longitudinal section, on the other hand a top view of an example of an apparatus corresponding to an embodiment. The top view is of this device from which the tampon has been removed.
As shown, the device has three compartments: 1, 2, 3. The effluent arrives via the supply line 4, in compartment 1. I1 passes through orifices made in the partition 5 to reach the compartment. ment 2. In compartment 2 it first crosses a thickness of gravel placed at the bottom of this compartment. The compartment 2 and the compartment 3 are separated from each other by a partition forming a weir 6 at its upper part. The effluent passes from the upper part of compartment 2 to compartment 3 by flowing over the overflow partition 6. From compartment 3 leave the pipes 7 through which 1 1 effluent leaves the distributor manhole. In the diagram also appear small dividing partitions 8 which subdivide the lower part of the compartment 3 into as many zones as there are evacuation pipes 7, each of the pipes 7 starting from one of these areas.
The device according to the invention can be used in various positions in a sanitation installation.
It can in particular be used upstream of an underground spreading device in natural or unnatural soil, a device for removing or dispersing waste water, a device for treating or purifying waste water.
Downstream of a septic tank, of an apparatus for purifying wastewater with activated sludge, or even downstream of another type of apparatus for pretreatment, treatment or purification of wastewater, it may be interesting to use the device according to the invention.
