Abstract

HAIR COMPOSITION. THIS COMPOSITION CONTAINS IN SOLUTION, IN ALCOHOL WITH AN ALCOHOLIC DEGREE OF 98, STIGMASTEROL IN THE PURE STATE OR IN THE FORM OF AN UNAPONIFIABLE WHEAT GERM OIL OR SOYBEAN OIL WHICH THE STIGMASTEROL CONTENT IS GREATER OR EQUAL TO 9, THE STIGMASTEROL CONCENTRATION BEING BETWEEN 0.1 AND 0.5 BY WEIGHT IN RELATION TO THE TOTAL WEIGHT OF THE COMPOSITION. THIS COMPOSITION ALLOWS TO FIGHT AGAINST HAIR LOSS AND TO PROMOTE GROWTH.

Description

The subject of the present invention is a new composition

by promoting their growth.

  In other words, it's not in the object of the

  present invention to treat subjects already suffering from

  on the contrary to treat those with certain warning signs so as to stop the process or

less to slow down the effects.

  The present invention relates to a hair composition in the form of a lotion intended to combat hair loss, and to promote its growth, this composition containing, in solution in alcohol having an alcoholic degree 98, stigmasterol. in the pure form or in the form of an unsaponifiable wheat germ oil or soybean oil whose stigmasterol content is greater than or equal to 9%, the concentration of stigmasterol being between 0.1 and 0 , 5% in

  weight relative to the total weight of the composition.

  The tests which were carried out using such a composition made it possible to show its excellent activity firstly in the Wistar rat, then the results observed were

confirmed in humans.

  Hair growth in the Wistar rat could be

  monitored daily by a simple and straightforward method.

  For each experiment of male Wistar rats all born on the same day are distributed by cage of five rats each and individualized by a mark with picric acid. Four cages,

  twenty animals, constitute a series. At the beginning of the
