Abstract
Description
The subject of the invention is a new thermoplastic construction material established on the basis of fly ash, constituting waste during the combustion of ground coal and deposited on the electrostatic precipitators.
Accumulating by current operating methods in thermal power stations and other similar factories, fly ash constitute large raw material resources for the production of materials, especially construction materials.
We already know from Polish patents PL 70 394, PL 86 373 and PL 100 688 the application of fly ash to construction. They are used as a pozzolanic addition to Portland cement when preparing binders for mortars and concretes. Likewise, the use of fly ash is known for the production of light aggregates (Orientation and possibility of application of fly ash in Polognen - Institute known as Instytut Techniki BudowlaneJ, Warszawa 1977, pages 55 to 73).
Fly ash is previously granulated by sintering.
The granulate is ground punished and sifted into appropriate fractions.
The new thermoplastic building material consists of fly ash and polypropylene, constituting a binder, assembled together by mixing at a temperature of 160 to 2000C. The rate of fly ash can vary from 10 to 92% and that of polypropylene from 8 to 90% by weight.
The castruction material according to the invention has a compact internal structure, as a result of which it is hydrophobic. It is characterized by good dielectric properties, high mechanical resistance, low wear and good flow during molding. Likewise, it has great resistance to the chemical action of acid and alkaline compounds.
It finds its application as paneling or floor covering, as pipe pipe, as roof profile and construction accessory.
The use of the raw materials used in the composition of this building material according to the invention gives the possibility of applying industrial waste, therefore it proves useful for the protection of the natural environment of man.
The new building material according to the invention is described in more detail in the exemplary embodiments
Example 1
Fly ash 10% by weight
Polypropylene 90% by weight
The components are assembled by mixing them at a temperature of 160 to 2000C and are molded by extrusion according to iodines known per se, applied to the production of theroplastic materials.
Exemple 2. Example 2.
Fly ash 92% by weight
Polypropylene 8%
The components are mixed at a temperature of 160,200 OC and then the dough is molded by extrusion.
Of course, the invention is in no way limited to the embodiments. described and represented which have been given only by way of example. In particular, it includes all the means constituting technical equivalents of the means described, as well as their combinations if these are executed according to the spirit and implemented in the context of the count protection claimed.
