Abstract

A map carrier comprises a rectangular transparent sheet fixed on three sides to a support plate to form a pocket into which a map can be placed. The meridiens on the map are located parallel to the sides of the carrier with the North directed towards the bottom. A transparent pocket houses a flat compass and has its sides adjacent to the opening parallel to the sides of the carrier. The arrow of the compass direction extends in the direction of North of the carrier to simplify orientation of the map without taking the compass from its pocket.
