Abstract

A distributor for the injection moulding of components having a firm, dense skin and a foam core is intended to be incorporated between a plasticiser unit, a mould and a storage cylinder. The control valve or element for the distributor is a two-posn. plunger contg. a U-section duct; and the two ends of the arms of this duct can be connected simultaneously to the plasticiser and to the storage cylinder; the opposite side of the duct can be connected to the mould. A non-return valve is fitted in the duct connecting the plunger, and the connection between the plasticiser and the storage cylinder is provided by the U-shaped duct.

Ce distributeur est carac térisé par le simple mouvement rectiligne à deux positions du tiroir, qui permet de l'incorporer facilement dans un système d'actionnement et de commande quelconque d'une machine à mouler par injection des pièces en mousse, tandis que le canal de communication en U permet d'introduire uniquement de la matière polymérique vierge dans le moule jusqu'à la formation de la peau, puis de compléter, seulement à la fin du cycle de moulage, la formation du noyau de la pièce moulée avec une matière cellulaire provenant du cycle pré cédent, et ce du fait qu'il n'y a aucune liaison directe entre l'unité de plastification et le moule.De plus, le fait que ce distributeur soit compact et qu'il soit adapté à être incorporé dans des machines de différents types, contribue à son universalité qui, de son côte, concourt à étendre le domaine d'applications des machines à mouler par injection de pièces structurales en mousse, permettant ainsi de produire, par différents procédés, toutes sortes de pièces ayant des surfaces lisses et uniformément colorées ne présentant pas de tourbillons ni de marques d'écoulement, et partant, d'éliminer la nécessité d'opérations de finition supplémentaires, telles que le polissage et la peinture.
