Abstract

Trays with recesses are moulded to fit within a suitcase to provide separate compartments in which specific items can be located. For use instead of conventional loose insert trays with a flat base, the trays are pref. formed from expanded polyethylene sheet or similar and slotted for location within the case by adjustable straps which can also secure articles to the trays. Opt. subsidiary dishes may be provided to fit into and subdivide larger recesses within the primary tray. Pref. two trays are linked by an integral hinge which can be mounted co-incident with the hinge of the basic suitcase. Opt. an ancillary cover, loose or with integral hinge, may be provided to prevent items from transferring from the tray compartments to other parts of the case. The trays etc. may be made by thermoforming, calendering, injection moulding, pressing or stamping. The thickness and/or density of the expanded sheet may be varied locally, to suit the variations of stiffness or impact resistance required.

Description

L'invention a pour objet un perfectionnement apporté aux bagages à main, et plus particulièrement au garnissage intérieur et aux accessoires pour bagages à main.
