Description

Knitting machine, particularly with double cylinder,

  with slider control system.

  The invention relates to a knitting machine in general - and in particular but not exclusively to a double cylinder knitting machine for socks - of the type comprising at least one needle cylinder, at least one series of members, constituted by sliders (also called "sliders") and / or by heel needles, movable in the longitudinal channels of the cylinder, and a camshaft shirt for controlling said organs according to a program on the basis of which each of the organs is controlled for

  assume either of a series of positions.

Claims (5)

Knitting machine, more particularly but not exclusively double cylinder machine for socks, comprising at least one needle cylinder, at least one series of members such as sliders, and / or heel needles, movable in the longitudinal channels of the cylinder, and a cam jacket for controlling said members as a function of a program on the basis of which each of said members is controlled to assume one or the other of a series of positions, characterized in that a groove at least annular is formed in the cylinder, in correspondence with the or each series of said members, in that in each of said members are formed along their outer edge hollows whose number is at least equal to that of the positions that said organs must assume, and at points such of said organs that in a certain zone of the jacket said organs always pass through a position in which one of the hollows which it comprises corresponds to the groove; and in that finally in said zone is provided a detector warning of the possible presence of an organ in an irregular position: insofar as it does not have not a hollow in the throat.   2. Machine according to one of claims 1 to 3, charac- terized in that for the control of the upper sliders, corresponding to the reverse, a detector is inserted at the same time as a lifting cam and acts at a raised level sliders.
