Abstract

The front bumper for a lorry has a platform fitted over the top using a series of matching plastic plates (3) to form a continuous surface. The ends of the platform are formed by curved sections (5) around the corner of the body. The platform enables an operator to step up and reach the windscreen. The plates are ribbed for strength and grip and fitted with moulded holes (8) for the securing bolts. The platform covers the space between the bumper and the radiator grille.
