Abstract

The bracket (1) especially for cables, is clamped to the ceiling joists of industrial installations by a pair of sliding clamps (2,3) which are cut out (5) to fit over the section of the ceiling joist. The cable duct bracket (1) is a 'U' shaped metal section with slotted holes (4) along its length. It is free to slide in the square section of the clamps (2,3). The two clamps have cutouts fitted to the shape of the joist section and are slid along the bracket into their place on either side of the joist and bolted (6,7) to the bracket (1) through the slotted holes (4). A cable duct (10) is then bolted to the bracket (1) so that the duct runs parallel with the joist.
