Abstract

The vertical column particularly for sales display purposes has sections which can be mounted one on top of the other to obtain a required height, and mounted on a circular base (11). A central spindle (10) plugs into a sleeve on the base, and over this slide cylindrical sections (325,326,327) held spaced apart by inner sleeves (318). Accessories are then attached at the spaces (329) between the cylinders, outer sleeves being fitted. Inside the cylinders are fitted discs (367,368) forming shoulders on which the inner sleeves rest, giving the spaces between the cylinders.
