Abstract

Procédé pour stabiliser une pile à anode de métal actif, cathode active et électrolyte non aqueux. On introduit dans la pile un additif soluble en partie dans l'électrolyte, en quantité suffisante pour provoquer la décharge spontanée de pratiquement toute la surface de la cathode active avant la décharge initiale de la pile, les produits de réaction formés pendant cette décharge spontanée étant pratiquement non réactifs dans la pile. On utilise en particulier à cet effet des sulfures de métaux alcalins et alcalino-terreux. Les stabilisants selon l'invention évitent un chauffage sévère de la pile, destiné à en éliminer les dernières traces d'humidité.
