Abstract

The HT connector includes a terminal intended to contact the HT contact on the base of the CRT, mounted in a projecting part of a box. This is connected via a resistor to a terminal mounted vertically at one end of the L-shaped box. The terminal is also connected to one contact of a discharge gap. The second contact of the discharge gap is connected to another terminal at the second end of the L-shaped box. Both terminals are surrounded by cylindrical insulators allowing the circulation of air whilst providing good electrical insulation. This enables ozone created by the discharge to be dispersed. The connector provides independent connections for the HT supply away from other printed circuit connections.
