Abstract

Goods may be ordered when normal retail facilities are not accessible by the use of automatic photographic recording of rigid order cards, prepared by the customer, using information from a display panel which describes the goods and gives their price. A package which allows the order cards to be held in place together with a credit card allows credit card and order to be simultaneously photographed. The film (10) is removed at regular intervals and developed immediately to allow processing of the order. The introduction of the order card (11) to the receiving mechanism initiates the photographic sequence of illumination (12), shutter operation, and film advance. The card is then ejected to be retained by the customer.
