Abstract

Ceiling panels having a relatively light,stiff structure comprise an undulating sheet covered on each face with a flat panel and boxed in around the panel borders. Claims include panels made of steel or of reinforced polyester resin (GRP): pref. the undulations have flattened crests fixed to the facing panels - by welding, for steel panels, or by epoxy resin based adhesives, for GRP panels. Pref. the core and the surface panels are made of the same materials. Suitable for mfg. modular panels approx. 2.5m long, 60cm wide and 5cm deep, using sheet 4 to 5mm thick (for GRP structures) or about 1mm thick (for steel sheet).
