Abstract

A mechanical antitheft device which is fitted to the steering wheel of a vehicle. It is of metal and has hook attachments (8) (9) which engage on the wheel circumference. There is also a radial arm (7) long enough to foul the vehicle body and make it impossible to turn the wheel. A second arm (6) is pivoted to the first one (7) and has a locking mechanism (10, 13, 15). When free, this allows the device to be fitted. The lock proper (13) engages in an axial seating in the end of a fork (11) on the second arm (6) when the arms are at about 180 deg.
