Abstract
The human body irradiation lamp has an infra-red lamp in a housing. The lamp incorporates one or more Xenon high-pressure tubes (1), behind which is a reflector (2) directing the light through an infra-red filter (3). The latter has a working range of 800-1200 nanometres. There can be two such tubes alongside each other, each with an output of 150 watts, and the filter thickness can be 2.5-4 mm. A starter coil (6) and unit (5) for the tube can be mounted in the housing (4) behind the reflector. The design allows long irradiation of the area underneath the skin without the risk of skin burns.
