Abstract

Prepn. of flat mountings on non-planar or rough supports comprises casting a liq. (epoxy) resin compsn. between a pair of temporary annular seals (5,6) so that the liq. establishes a level reference surface (12). The adjacent seals and resin meniscus rims (13) are subsequently removed for the solidified resin surface to receive some attachment. Prod. is used for supporting sundry machinery, instruments, etc. on to a non-planar or non-horizontal or rough surface.
