Abstract

Cartridge type filter to purify liqs. and gases has automatic removal of the end covers and exchange of the cartridge. The filter has a mechanism for storing and replacing spent cartridges. The chambers are also adjustable and the covers are removable. The cartridges are held in tubular stores above the filter housings which are cylinders. The unit is rotated to light the cylinder up with an element and the covers removed. The system includes a means of rotating the filters with synchronised operation of the appropriate hydraulic cylinders. Used for filtration of lacquers, dyes, enamels, bituments, resins, drinks, mannades, edible oils, honey, coffee, acetone, methanol, antifreeze, glycerine, crude oil, fuel gas, CHCL3, disinfectants, perfumes, shampoos, creams, air, gas, water, fats, effluents, lubricating oil, etc, etc. Allows automatic changing of cartridge filters.
