FOLLOWING THE INVENTION, SUCH AN APPARATUS IS CHARACTERIZED IN THAT MEANS 8 FOR DETERMINING THE PITCH OF SOUND OF EACH STRING 9 ARE CONNECTED WITH MEANS 14 FOR COMPARING THE PITCH OF SOUND OF EACH STRING 9 WHEN IT IS PLAYED WITH A SIGNAL REFERENCE, AND IN THAT CONTROL MEANS 11, 12 ARE CONNECTED BETWEEN THE COMPARISON MEANS 14 AND THE HEIGHT-ADJUSTING MEANS 10 TO MAKE THE HEIGHT-ADJUSTING MEANS 10 TO MODIFY THE SOUND PITCH OF THE STRING PLAYED BY WAY THAT IT CORRESPONDS TO THE REFERENCE SIGNAL.
