Abstract

The antivibration mounting consists of a hollow, rubber cup with two distinct wall thicknesses, the lower part (1) being much thicker than the upper part (2). The boundary between the lower and upper parts is defined by a ridge in the inner surface of the wall. The mounting is fixed to the date (A) by the flange (6) and to the machine (B) with the nut (7) and washer (5). Under light load the initial deflection is relatively large because of the weaker section but under heavier or shock load the thicker section (1) permits a reduction deflection only.
