Abstract

The horizontal ram driven telescopic jib (10,11) is used to mount a ditch cutting head (13) on an agricultural tractor. The jib comprises an inner fixed arm (11) and an outer slidable arm (10) connected by an axial part housed (12,19) ram. The head (13) can be fixed at various positions on the arm and the tool (200) can be screw jacked (26) vertically relative to the head (13). The tool may comprise a revolving disc (1) with fins inclined at some 10 degrees to radii, being driven by an endless chain (4) traversing an hydraulic motor driven wheel (5). Demountable prongs may attach to the chain which also traverses a tensioning wheel (35).
